Never answer this question by telling the interviewer your favourite dish, actor or sports team

The interviewer's intent behind asking this question to you is to know how confident you are and how you present yourself. You should tell the interviewer something that shows your experience in the field i.e., internship, education and family background. And in answering this question you must share your strengths and try to build up the discussion about how suitable you are for the job opening.

What is BPO?


Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a method used by companies for subcontracting their non-core work when they want it to be done by professionals at a cheaper price so they outsource such work to other companies. Which saves them money and time to focus on their core work. For answering this question it's enough but Try giving some information specific to the particular bpo you are interviewing for.

Why do you want to work at a bpo?

Through this question, interviewers test how much suitable you are for the job position.

What is the difference between inbound and outbound calling?


Interviewers ask you this question to know whether you have enough knowledge about the bpo industry or not. An inbound call centre receives incoming calls from customers. An outbound call centre does outbound calls for selling 


Sample answer:-  An inbound call centre receives incoming calls from customers. An outbound call centre does outgoing calls to customers specifically for sales purposes.

Can you work night shifts?

Working in night shifts is an inseparable part of the bpo industry and specifically, in international BPOs, you will be asked to call clients who will be located in a different time zone so your answer to this question is an emphatic yes. Because if you are not willing to work night shifts then BPO is not your cup of tea.

Are you willing to relocate?

Interviewers ask you this question to get an idea about your flexibility and your eagerness for the job. if you can move to a new location for employment then the desirable answer to this question would be a “YES” but if you can’t relocate for a genuine reason

Then in that case. Do not lie and just say it I won’t be able to relocate. Giving a vague answer will make interviewers doubt your decision.

You may be asked about your strengths and weaknesses in one question or in two different questions. In case if you are asked to answer both at once then share your weakness first and then end with sharing your strength so that you can end your answer on a positive note.

What are your salary expectations?
